Aussies going broke in record numbers

According to the latest report by the government insolvency agency Insolvey & Trustee Services Australia, Australians are going broke at a record rate of about 3,000 people a month, as they are swamped by growing debt. The statistics show that more than 9,000 Australians went broke during the September 08 quarter, as total insolvencies jumped 12.5%, compared to the same period a year ago.
