More rate cuts next month

The Reserve Bank of Australia is expected to cut rates by another 0.25% in October 2008, then leave the rate at 6.75% until next year. It is possible that another round of cuts totalling 0.5% next year could take the total cuts to 1%, but any more cuts above 1% would require a major economic slowdown in China and Australia to convince the RBA to act.
