Cash options in demand

Australian Super said the number of members selecting the fund cash investment option doubled over the December 2008 quarter, though off a low base.

Approximately 3,000 fund members switched to the cash option in October 2008. Approximately 1% of the fund's 1.4 million members opted for cash. The Association of Superannuation Funds said across the sector, 3% of fund members were invested in cash.
