Prestige Australian neighbourhoods named - global report

According to The 2010 Wealth Report, a global perspective on prime residential property and wealth, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth are Australia's three main urban centers for prestige neighbourhoods.

The report also found that Sydney's Palm Beach suburb and resorts on the Gold Coast in Queensland were the principal locations for holiday homes. Suburbs like Bellevue Hill and Point Piper in Sydney have been the most resilient as there were few forced sales during the downturn.
